Shopping Saturday!

First we hit up Kohls for the early bird special, left and waited in a long line for the grand opening of Old Navy at the Avenue. First 200 customers had the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree. We walked away with a $5 off coupon. Pretty nice anyway :) After Old Navy, we went to Ross where i bought my dress for the wedding and then off to the mall. after over 5 hours of shopping, my feet were warn out :) Mark was Awesome through the whole thing! Look at his smiley face :)

Finally Friday!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how glad I am that today is Friday. I woke up this morning and did a happy dance. Woo!

Today is picture day for Lily. She wanted pigtails & I imagine she will have them pulled out before the picture is actually taken. Mark was adorable when I dropped him off as always. Smiling as though he knew i was going to play with him.

This weekend is going to be awesome! Not only is it a looooong one, BUT I have it jam packed with friends and bbq! Saturday will be shopping with friends, then having family day, then bbq at friends house. Should be a great weekend and relaxing as well.

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my Mom & Dad. They are awesome parents & grandparents. I couldn't ask for two better people in our lives. Not only do they help me often, but they do everything they possibly can for their grandchildren. Lily wouldn't have been able to join me in CA if they didn't buy her ticket. When we came back there was a present waiting for Lily that TOTALLY made her day. She is having so much fun with that gift. Thank you both for all that you do. We really appreciate you!

While Jim & I partied at Toney's birthday party, Mark enjoyed time with his grandma & grandpa. He even spent the night and had a great time! Here are some pictures that Reno sent me this morning.

Lily is a Girl Scout!

Lily BEGGED me to sign her up for girl scouts, so being the awesome mom that I am I endured an hour and a half long meeting last night at her school. We were divided up into grade levels. Lily will be a Brownie. All troops are full, so we are starting our own troop. Two brave women stepped up to be leaders so the rest of us can reap the benefits. Lily had a great time at the meeting, so I know this year will be full of fun times. She also has dance class every Saturday at 11:30 which starts next Saturday. Busy year for this little girl.

Today will be a busy day. Interviews back to back, along with a conference call then off to pick up the kids and take Lily to a girl scouts meeting. I'm supposed to have dinner with friends, but with the meeting, I probably have to reschedule.

Toney's Disco Party

Saturday we celebrated Toney's 50th birthday at a surprise birthday party thrown by Jennifer. We had a great time! Karaoke, 70's music and costumes...how can you go wrong?!

What a week!

All is well. Just wanted to give a quick update. Not much going on, just working A LOT! Business is picking up so that's awesome! Hope to spend time with friends and family this weekend.

Party time!

The party was so much fun. It was so great to see everyone!

Picture day - Saturday

We went to Fashion Island on Saturday morning with all the cousins to take a group picture for Grandma's birthday present. Jill did an awesome job rounding everyone up and Thomas took great photos! Our family is so beautiful!

Friday Flight

Mark's first flight! We went to California to surprise Grandma for her birthday...more pictures to come.

Mark was AWESOME on both flights. No crying or anything. He slept 2 hours on the first and the entire way home. What a perfect baby :)

Mommy has strep :( I'm barely hanging on at work right now. I went to the clinic and tested positive for strep and i have a sinus infection. I felt pretty good Sunday and woke up with a fever on Monday.

I'm sorry for all who have called me in the past couple of days. My throat is on fire and i'm trying to get better before my trip.

We celebrated DJ's birthday at the skating rink. Jim & Lily had a great time out there skating together. Mommy & Mark watched on the sidelines.

After that party, we were able to spend time with Big Daddy Jim & Grandma Reno for his birthday. Great day!

The weekend was great!

Saturday at the lake

On Saturday, Mark and I drove to the lake to spend the day with Dave, Cindy & Lily. We had such a great time kayaking & fishing. Lily caught 3 fish the day before & 1 fish while I was there! It was so pretty there. The camping site was right on the lake. There was such a great breeze on the hot August day.

Lily's first day of school!

Friday, August 8th was Lily's first day of school...well kinda. We went, met her teacher and then left. Monday is her first full day of school. She is very excited about starting and meeting new friends!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my husband. Without Jim's support and love, I would be an emotional wreck right now :) I can't thank him enough for always being there for me and supporting me. Thank you, honey. I love you.

What a week! Happy Wednesday all!

I can't believe another week is flying by. Just 2 short days and Lily will be starting 1st grade! Friday morning, Lily and I will go to her school and find out who her new teacher will be. She is really excited.

She has had a really great week. Grandma Judy watched her Monday-Wednesday, then Grandma Cindy is watching her the rest and picking her up from her 2 hour day on Friday and taking her camping. Mark and I will be joining them for just half a day out there to go to the lake.

Since starting on rice cereal, Mark has slept through the night. This is Awesome! He's still only eating it once a day, but its the best part of the day...evening! He is such a happy little guy.

Time to get back to the old grind. Almost time to start morning call block.

This weekend was fabulous. Saturday i got to see two of my best friends as we went on a shopping spree for over 6 hours... then went to see The Dark Knight with Jim. Sunday we got up and went to a new church and couples small group afterwards. All in all, great weekend!

I got the go ahead from a doctor that i can start exercising. So horray for the rest of the baby fat being gone!
