101 degrees and still sick :(

Still has an ear infection, still congested, still running a fever. Cross your fingers that this goes away by Friday or else we may be having surgery. We also don't want this to turn into pneumonia. Poor little guy!

Sunday with Jim's Family

On Sunday we drove to Kentucky to spend Christmas with Jim's family. We had a really great time and I was so glad to finally meet all of them. Mark was a bit under the weather. I had a really hard time keeping his fever under control, but you know Mark...he was still smiling :)

Lily also made some new friends and has asked about half a dozen times when we're going back to see them.

His family has a really fun tradition. There is a small tree in which ornaments are bought throughout the year and everyone gets to pick an ornament off of it.

Opryland Saturday

I swear Lily is a happy girl! you seriously can't tell from most of the pictures she takes though. :)

On Saturday we joined our friends for a fun day at Opryland Hotel. We walked around the hotel and looked at lights, then went and saw Santa and road the train. After that we had a very late dinner at Santa Fe...by the time we left it was around 10:00 ish and the kids were pooped! We drove from there to Jim & Reno's to spend the night.
Mark wasn't feeling very well. We kept him in the stroller most of the night and he was a very good boy.

Bring Mark to work day!

I had to bring Mark to work with me this morning. He had a fever and I forgot my laptop at work. No work from home option there. Silly, Mommy. We're about to head out, but I had to show you how sweet he looks :)

He was great, as always! He slept until 8:45, then he ate at 10:00 and fell asleep at 10:20. Yep, best baby ever! Happy, giggly, sweet baby...even when he's sick.

Trickster!

Ok, here is my lazy little man who can probably crawl, but he doesn't ever feel like trying. He's so funny about it. He'll be like yep, here i come! Nah, i changed my mind and roll on my back.

Terrific Tuesday

And boy what a great day it is too! Here are some cute pictures from last night. Lily crazy over Mark and Mark took out the train that goes around our Christmas tree and smiles about it :)
Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Shopping Maddness!

Today we celebrated Reno's birthday. We had a fabulous day. First we went shopping, then we all met up at Demos' for dinner, then went to the house for birthday cake. It was a great day!

Everyone who knows me knows that my favorite kind of therapy (besides a good margarita) is Shopping! Shopping cures all that ales me...usually. So, what better way of spending a fabulous Saturday celebrating Reno's birthday! Reno and I drove to Bowling Green, Kentucky and went shopping at the BEST store I have ever been to! Besides being awesome, it was also very inexpensive :) It is the best consignment store I have ever been to and I got some of the best deals.

I bought...

  • 4 suits
  • 4 blouses
  • 1 sweater and...
  • 3 jackets (1 of which is a $250 suit jacket)

All name brand...all for under $300. Best deal EVER! :)

Here are a couple of pictures...i had to take one with the beautiful Blue coat I bought. Love it!

I had the best time and I'm definitely stress free right now. Happy Birthday, Reno!

Thankful Thursday

My Family...No matter what is going on, it's so nice to be able to throw some clothes on, not worry what our hair looks like or if I have any makeup on and go out and enjoy a nice meal together. As I sit next to Lily and help her do her word search or play tic-tac-toe, I realize how a simple game can make you forget about any craziness.

Happy 7 month birthday, Mark!

7 months already?

Gosh, this time is FLYING by!

What are you doing?
  • Using your consonants much better. Babababa, etc
  • Rocks back and forth on hands and knees...really close to crawling, but you hate being on your stomach too much, so maybe you'll just skip crawling and go to walking :)
  • Can pick up small items such as cherrios and feed it to yourself...shakey at times, but you get the job done
  • Can let go of support for 3-5 seconds and stand on your own. Strong legs! but definitely wobbly.

What are you like?

  • You are the sweetest, happiest baby! Constantly smiling no matter what's going on. I even took you black friday shopping...up at 3:30 a.m. and still smiling at 10:00 a.m. after your shot.
  • You do not like the carseat for sure! Luckily sister keeps you company in the backseat most of the time.
  • Tummy time is for the birds. You would much rather be on your back. You don't put enough time into practicing your crawling because of it.
  • You love your sister even when she is a pain in the butt.
  • You will eat anything I give you...even if you hate the taste of it
  • You never meet a stranger and you Love the attention.

Today I am taking you back for your...hmmm, how many appointments has it been now? We are on week 4 of your upper respiratory/double ear infection. I feel terrible that nothing has worked and you have been sick for so long. Hopefully the last shot did it's job and you're a-ok.
