Just another June Weekend

1 week after our trip and our lives are just starting to get back to a normal routine. It took just about 5 days to get the kids sleeping on a normal bed time schedule after 8 days of closing down parks and eating at 9 p.m.. We arrived home safely on Sunday evening. Monday was the bad storm that left partial trees standing in the front yard. Saffy had to go back in for her check up and they put her on new meds to try to lessen the swelling in her tail. We recently found out (the day after Nero passed) that Saffy has among many other things - spondolosis which is the fusion of her vertebrae and hers is down the spine at the bag through the top part of her tail. In her case, it caused severe pain and swelling. To top it off she also has a separation or dislocation at the top of her tail. They can't fix this issue until the swelling is taken care of. The pain has decreased at least.
She still looks like a happy puppy. :)

Saturday was Lily's farewell end of season softball party. I may have forgotten to tell Jim that it was a sleepover, so that was a fun realization moment for him.
Today is Father's Day and after driving Lily to Tullahoma we were able to enjoy the second half of the day with no company.

I'm looking forward to this week of calm and relaxing evenings at home with no plans.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the Daddys out there!

It's Tuesday!

Yesterdays storm left us with 10% of one tree and about 70% of another. It could have been a lot worse for sure. This has certainly got me looking at storm shelters just in case we aren't so lucky next time.

Saturday I am hosting Lily's end of season team party. I think 'crazy' should be permanently tattooed on my head. I don't know how I get myself into these situations. I'm so ready for a weekend where I can just rest.

I am looking forward to seeing Gma & Aunt Dena in just a few weeks! The background may be a little obnoxious, but I love being patriotic!

I hope everyone is having a great week and Happy Early 4th!

Home

The rest of our caravan made it home Saturday evening, but since we took extra family time at downtown disney along with Marks growing pains keeping us from driving straight through the night, we arrived home safely Sunday around 5 pm. Here are a few highlights from our trip home and some recaps of the characters the kids met.

This trip was awesome. The kids had so much fun and were really sad when it had to end. I've never spent multiple days in a row at Disney and while stressful at times, it was one of the best vacations I have ever had. The best friends and amazing family all together for a week. We had a great itinerary with planned meals that really added to the experience. We ate at Cinderella's Castle and went to a Luau. The five character meals guaranteed the kids one on one time with their favorite characters.
Just to share a few more. You could easily wait twenty minutes or more in the park for one of these characters but instead they came right to our table super cool!

We stayed on site at Port Orleans Riverside in their royal guest room which was really cool. The kids had a blast with the light up headboard. Who wouldn't want fireworks going off over your head?!

Life starts back to normal tomorrow morning, so until then I will look at these pictures and pretend I am still there having a blast. :)

Have a great evening!

Leaving Walt Disney World...

Saturday was our check out, so we checked out Downtown Disney that afternoon to have some final disney fun.  The pictures of the dragon, Snow White, Buzz Lightyear & the sea monster are all made out of Legos. Pretty amazing!

Disney World part 5 & 6

What an amazing vacation. Sickness and cranky kids couldn't ruin our fun.  The time will come to a close tomorrow when we drive away at check out time. Lots of amazing memories made and shared. Day 5 was rainy at magic kingdom and today was Epcot. Jim, Mark &Lily are shutting the park down ask type this
