Adventure Science Center

Picture below sans Lily...she is at Carl's house this week, but since I was helping my friend, Laurie by watching her kids the Adventure Science Center is where we went! We had lots of fun.
*sniff sniff* i miss Lily!

Mark sure tried hard to grab those moving lights...

How cute are these pictures! Hehe. I had to get him up on the counter and positioned next to this sign. Too funny.

Playing with blocks...

Look at my heart rate!

Mark held on for SO long and did not want to leave. There was an exhibit of the earth revolving around the sun and it was very fascinating to him. He was all about it and in a few of the pictures I have you can see him standing on his tip toes trying to get a better view of it.

One more video :)

Mark's first word!

Said day after Christmas!

Merry Christmas!!!

Sorry it took me so long to post Christmas pictures! I'm so glad for Cindy or I wouldn't have had any to share with you :)

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas!!! We sure did!

We went to Jim's family's house on Christmas day and they got a Wii for Christmas. We had a blast playing bowling, tennis and I watched a little boxing action. Here is my spare. Yep, i totally rock sitting on the floor bowling. :) I bowled like a 190. Go me!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous day! I'm sitting at work, but still its a fabulous day for me! Mark is at daycare and Lily is at Laurie's. All is well today. Mark will have his ENT appointment tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Say a little prayer that he will be all better by then!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Wow! I can't believe it! I can't wait to get dressed to the nines and celebrate Christmas with everyone. Lily has a beautiful red dress (no faux fir) and I still need to buy Mark his cute suit for Christmas Eve mass.

Here is a picture of Lily for her first Christmas. How cute is she?! Look how small...she was 4 months older than Mark is now in this picture :)

9 degrees

Brrrr...it's cold outside!

I made it out of the house and to work by 8:00 a.m. this morning and I"m the only one here. Hmm, perhaps Christmas break started a bit early for everyone. I already got "I'm sorry I'm late" calls this morning. I'm enjoying my time by myself though :)

Mark is doing a bit better per the doctor yesterday. So YAY!!!! He is at daycare today since there aren't any other babies going in thise week. Lily is with my friend Laurie, so I may be able to work the whole day without distractions. I'm saying a little prayer that Mark can make it all day.

Merry Almost Christmas!!!

Saturday night

Mark is doing a bit better tonight and having lots of fun playing with Daddy. Here's a cute picture and video! Enjoy!

Friday

Friday we went to the Dr and found out Mark is actually a little worse. I made an appointment for the ENT for Christmas Eve at 10:00 a.m. Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this.

In the mean time, Lily, Mark and I had a great day inside. Lily had a little help cleaning her room and it looks great! Next week we will battle her closet and hopefully she will keep it clean all the time for mommy.

101 degrees and still sick :(

Still has an ear infection, still congested, still running a fever. Cross your fingers that this goes away by Friday or else we may be having surgery. We also don't want this to turn into pneumonia. Poor little guy!

Sunday with Jim's Family

On Sunday we drove to Kentucky to spend Christmas with Jim's family. We had a really great time and I was so glad to finally meet all of them. Mark was a bit under the weather. I had a really hard time keeping his fever under control, but you know Mark...he was still smiling :)

Lily also made some new friends and has asked about half a dozen times when we're going back to see them.

His family has a really fun tradition. There is a small tree in which ornaments are bought throughout the year and everyone gets to pick an ornament off of it.

Opryland Saturday

I swear Lily is a happy girl! you seriously can't tell from most of the pictures she takes though. :)

On Saturday we joined our friends for a fun day at Opryland Hotel. We walked around the hotel and looked at lights, then went and saw Santa and road the train. After that we had a very late dinner at Santa Fe...by the time we left it was around 10:00 ish and the kids were pooped! We drove from there to Jim & Reno's to spend the night.
Mark wasn't feeling very well. We kept him in the stroller most of the night and he was a very good boy.

Bring Mark to work day!

I had to bring Mark to work with me this morning. He had a fever and I forgot my laptop at work. No work from home option there. Silly, Mommy. We're about to head out, but I had to show you how sweet he looks :)

He was great, as always! He slept until 8:45, then he ate at 10:00 and fell asleep at 10:20. Yep, best baby ever! Happy, giggly, sweet baby...even when he's sick.

Trickster!

Ok, here is my lazy little man who can probably crawl, but he doesn't ever feel like trying. He's so funny about it. He'll be like yep, here i come! Nah, i changed my mind and roll on my back.

Terrific Tuesday

And boy what a great day it is too! Here are some cute pictures from last night. Lily crazy over Mark and Mark took out the train that goes around our Christmas tree and smiles about it :)
Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Shopping Maddness!

Today we celebrated Reno's birthday. We had a fabulous day. First we went shopping, then we all met up at Demos' for dinner, then went to the house for birthday cake. It was a great day!

Everyone who knows me knows that my favorite kind of therapy (besides a good margarita) is Shopping! Shopping cures all that ales me...usually. So, what better way of spending a fabulous Saturday celebrating Reno's birthday! Reno and I drove to Bowling Green, Kentucky and went shopping at the BEST store I have ever been to! Besides being awesome, it was also very inexpensive :) It is the best consignment store I have ever been to and I got some of the best deals.

I bought...

  • 4 suits
  • 4 blouses
  • 1 sweater and...
  • 3 jackets (1 of which is a $250 suit jacket)

All name brand...all for under $300. Best deal EVER! :)

Here are a couple of pictures...i had to take one with the beautiful Blue coat I bought. Love it!

I had the best time and I'm definitely stress free right now. Happy Birthday, Reno!

Thankful Thursday

My Family...No matter what is going on, it's so nice to be able to throw some clothes on, not worry what our hair looks like or if I have any makeup on and go out and enjoy a nice meal together. As I sit next to Lily and help her do her word search or play tic-tac-toe, I realize how a simple game can make you forget about any craziness.

Happy 7 month birthday, Mark!

7 months already?

Gosh, this time is FLYING by!

What are you doing?
  • Using your consonants much better. Babababa, etc
  • Rocks back and forth on hands and knees...really close to crawling, but you hate being on your stomach too much, so maybe you'll just skip crawling and go to walking :)
  • Can pick up small items such as cherrios and feed it to yourself...shakey at times, but you get the job done
  • Can let go of support for 3-5 seconds and stand on your own. Strong legs! but definitely wobbly.

What are you like?

  • You are the sweetest, happiest baby! Constantly smiling no matter what's going on. I even took you black friday shopping...up at 3:30 a.m. and still smiling at 10:00 a.m. after your shot.
  • You do not like the carseat for sure! Luckily sister keeps you company in the backseat most of the time.
  • Tummy time is for the birds. You would much rather be on your back. You don't put enough time into practicing your crawling because of it.
  • You love your sister even when she is a pain in the butt.
  • You will eat anything I give you...even if you hate the taste of it
  • You never meet a stranger and you Love the attention.

Today I am taking you back for your...hmmm, how many appointments has it been now? We are on week 4 of your upper respiratory/double ear infection. I feel terrible that nothing has worked and you have been sick for so long. Hopefully the last shot did it's job and you're a-ok.

We saw Santa!

"Uh oh, my sock came off"

We bought a few wallets and a 5X7 of a picture that came out well. Mark was smiley as always...not afraid of meeting Santa for the first time at all. But honestly, does he ever meet a stranger? :)

Happy December 1st!

Being Crafty

My attempt at being crafty last night. These are stocking holders Lily and I bought at Hobby Lobby on Saturday. She thought it would be fun to paint our own. I definitely love painting and doing crafty things, so I had a lot of fun with it. She was excited when she woke up this morning :)

Black Friday

Happy Black Friday!

This morning Mark and I were up at 3:40 and out the door by 4:00 a.m. Our first stop was Walmart, then over to Target and Toys R Us. After that I was able to get Mark an earlier appointment to get his final shot.

Tonight we went to Dave & Cindy's for another Yummy Thanksgiving dinner! After that we trimmed the tree. It was a fun night.

Another exhausting evening for Mark :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone had a Great Thanksgiving!

We had a great one! First we went over to Jim & Reno's then went to Judy's for pie. We were a bit too full for pie, but it was great to visit. Here are a few pictures from the visits.

First bite of banana

Mark wore himself out.
