4 days left!!!

I worked for about 3 hours today. Over the weekend, I realized I haven't packed my overnight bag for the hospital yet. So, after work before I came home I went and bought a few things to get my bag ready tonight. The only thing left to pick out is the baby's going home outfit!

May is definitely going to be a busy month. Next week Jim and I will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary. This year has definitely flown by for the two of us. I definitely couldn't feel any luckier celebrating the birth of our first child and first anniversary within a week of each other :) Then the week after is Mother's Day, then the week after that is my Birthday! May is definitely my month.

Time to leave and sign Lily up for before/after school care at the school.

Last OB appointment

Well nothing to get too excited about. He basically told me he'll see me and the baby next Friday. I'm taking it really easy so i make it to next week.

Lily got her 2nd to last report card. Everything looks great on it. She's reading at a 2nd grade level.

Jim is outside mowing the grass :)

That's about it going on with us.

Me and my crafty self...

This is what i was up to on Saturday while Lily was playing with the puppies. There's nothing much I can do while contracting all day long. Many have told me to take up a hobby since all I seem to want to do is clean and what do you clean when the cleaning is done? I made Lily a "I'm a big sister" shirt and a ballet bag. I do work from home, but more often than not i'm waiting on responses from my office. It's hard to hold meetings from home. :)
I took the dogs to get groomed and get their shots. I've cleaned my car a couple of times. I've hung all the baby clothes.
Just a little over a week left! I have a dr. appointment today. I'm sure he won't say much, but i'll let you know!

Puppy Day

Cindy took Lily to see some puppies at a friend's house. Lily had a great time and had to call me that evening to tell me to check my email for the pictures!

My Saturday consisted of spending lots of morning time with Lily, then meeting Cindy so she could spend the night. I was having contractions, so I went to Hobby Lobby and bought something to cross stitch and sat on my couch with contractions all day long.
Baby Mark has a really cute cross stitched mat that will be framed as soon as he's born :)

Home today!

Today I'm home "resting" I seriously am going out of my mind! I always talk about how much I would love to be a stay at home mom and maybe once I have someone to take care of it will be different, but for right now I'm going insane. I was told to take today off because of contractions I was having yesterday. I was up before the sun rose and I've been going crazy trying to find things to do. I had to drop Lily off at school at 8:00, so i've been cleaning, sorting, shopping since then. I have definitely taken it really slowly and I do feel better than sitting at a desk all day long.

I have 2 weeks left tomorrow! Mom and Dad will be here 2 weeks from today. I am super excited! I can't wait until baby comes. I think I've had contractins for about 2 months now and they are beginning to get stronger and more often during the day. My dr. says its completely normal for my third pregnancy.

Tonight I'm going to make the decision about his name. We're between two great names, so check tomorrow and look for the picture with his name hanging on the wall!

XOXO

Lily in ballet/tap

Yesterday I was able to get off a little early and watch her performance. All the mothers there had their camera out and video taped the teachers doing the dance so their child could practice at home. Not this working mom. I left work extremely late and raced 35 miles just to see her, so all i had was my phone in hand. These aren't the best videos, but i tried!!!

Wrapping things up at work...

Work has become extremely stressful the last few months. I went from being an Office Manager, kind of a lone wolf handling payroll, out of the limelight in this huge multi-million dollar sales company to a Branch Manager building up a new office. I did both jobs for about 3 months until I finally hired a new Office Coordinator to handle one of the other jobs I had. This has been a huge load off of this 9 month along pregnant woman. I've worked extremely hard for this company and look forward to 9 weeks off when baby morgan is born. Of course with laptop and cell phone at my side =)

It's been a rollercoaster ride since January building up my sales team, hiring and firing candidates to find that right fit. We are definitely where we need to be. This is going to be a fantastic week in sales....and right before I leave for Maternity! I can't be any prouder of my team than I am today. They have worked really hard (possibly some whining along the way) to get to where they are. I can confidentaly say that I trust them to work without me constantly over their shoulder.

What does this mean for me? I can actually go on Maternity leave on Friday IF I want to! The doctor has mentioned to me on many occasions that I really should take off 2 weeks before I give birth, but I have blown him off due to the fact that i know I Need to be here. Even with this new found sense of accomplishment, I know I will still have to work from home. But just the fact that I can trust my team to work solo makes me for a very happy Manager!

Other than that, today is a very good day. The baby isn't sitting on my nerve right now, so i'm able to work pretty comfortably. I'm always grateful for a pain-free moment!

Less than three weeks and counting!

This weekend was great!

We had a fantastic time at our baby shower. I just can't even tell you how touched I was that so many people came and were so generous. I'm so thankful for everyone in my life. A huge thank you to Reno and Jim for putting it all together and to Judy for helping with everything. It was awesome! Hopefully I'll get some pictures soon to share! (Thank you, Cindy, for taking them!)

Sunday we went to Walmart, bought letters for the baby's name (down to two choices!) and then came back and Jim put all the furniture together as I cleaned and put the clothes away. It was a great weekend.

I'm still working away. Sitting here at 36 weeks and a few days is making life slightly uncomfortable. No worries though, I'm a trooper. With ongoing contractions, I may be put on bed rest at the end of this week.

My delivery date is set for May 2nd at 7:30 a.m. Mom and Dad will be flying in on the May 1 flight and we'll head to the hospital around 5:00 a.m. Friday morning. I'm going to let Lily take the day off school :) She is SUPER excited! I can't even tell you how many times a day she tells me she can't wait to see her new brother.

Here is a picture Kate took of me. It makes me look a little whale-ish, but for everyone who isn't able to see me, you can see what i look like :)

Love to all of you! I will try and update this on a daily basis, so check back as often as you would like!

xoxo
