Happy Friday!

Happy Friday All,

Beautiful sunny day here in Nashville. Our week has been packed full of work, softball, t-ball & St. Patty's Day fun. Thanks to Reno, I have some pictures to share with you of the kids. They spent Saturday evening with them while Jim & I went to a St. Patty's Day birthday party.

I was recruited to coach Lily's softball team this year. Monday was the draft and Tuesday was the first practice. It's been a decade since I last coached, but I think I will be alright. We have a real practice tomorrow so I will really see how out of shape I am. Luckily Jill said she would come help.

I bought my plane tickets to come to Cali for Vanessa's wedding. I'm really excited and will do my very best to see everyone. The kids and I are coming alone then Jim will arrive a few days later for the wedding.

Below are the pictures Reno took and I added one of Jim & I from the party on Saturday.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Scrimmage

Mark had his first scrimmage on Saturday. Since I am coaching Lily's team, I was stuck at the try outs, but was able to race over and make it for Mark's first up to bat. This was definitely a practice game....err Thank Goodness this was a practice game. They were adorable, but still unsure of exactly what to do. It seemed like we had just as many coaches on the field as players. The kids hit off the tee only and got to run the bases no matter what. I recorded (terribly) a video of Mark's first up to bat. Like I said I was late and running and barely made it for his first up to bat. As you can see, he definitely needs a helmet, so this will be at the top of the list to buy this week. He hit the ball and ran the bases as if he got a home run. He trips going from second to third, but  he gets up and makes it home. He was very proud of himself :)

Again sorry for the shaky video...at one point I'm even asking myself why my camera is pointed at the dirt =P

Mark practices his hitting

So so tired

6:30 usually is a time of the day I am up and about but not when we are all up late watching Fringe. Of course it's not too early to be up to no good. Mark was up "mouser sizing" as he calls it on my gazelle and Ella was coloring but all she had was a marker in hand.

Mark's first ball practice

Well the pictures aren't a plenty from Mark's first TBall practice. We had a bit of a problem getting started. Mark was a little shy at first and didn't want to play with his teammates. After a little coercion, I talked him into running the bases. They practiced running the bases and listening to the coaches tell them when to run and stop. At the end, they did sprints. Here is a video of them running sprints.
