Lily, Mark and I went to the splash pad with some friends today. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun!

Happy Hump Day!

Today was a pretty busy day for all of us. I had to go work for about 3 hours today and leave Mark with Judy. Lily had a day with her Grandma Cindy and Jim worked. It was nice for all of us to come home and relax together.

I've been trying to get on here and post everyday, but it's been a bit difficult. I will try and get better about it.

We had a great weekend and I had a great birthday. Saturday it was just Mark and I, so i decided to wait and celebrate my bday on Sunday with everyone. Monday was also a great day and we ended the long weekend with a bbq at our friends house.

Mark is eating more often as he gets older. He did a great job and slept 3 full hours last night so I got a couple of hours of sleep at one time. Woo! He's staying up a little more often also, so we are enjoying watching him.

3 weeks old Today!

Mark is such a great baby. Right now he is laying on the floor checking things out. He eats about every 2-3 hours and is happy once his little belly is full.

Kate came over and took newborn pictures yesterday and will come back today and take a few more since he got a little fussy being moved around a lot. Hopefully i'll get the announcements out sometime this weekend if i get a great picture of him :)

Today is Lily's last day of school. Yippee!!! We are really looking forward to being home together.

I'm starting to finally feel better. I even took a walk yesterday and was able to walk down the road and back without getting dizzy. I'm looking forward to being able to not take pain medication and be myself again!

2 weeks now!

Well Mark is a little over two weeks now and doing really well. He is up to 8 lbs 6 oz and still growing. Definitely a great eater. Poor little guy is up most nights with gas, so mommy hasn't had more than a couple of hours sleep in a while.

I want to apologize for not calling people back as quickly as i should. i feel so out of it most days and its really hard to concentrate talking to people when they are in front of me let alone on the phone. I'm also sending out all of my cards late. I really do apologize. This isn't how i am at all, but i still feel bad.

Mark is waking up again, so I should get to him. I am working hard on getting him settled down and hopefully his little belly will start digesting food better soon.

Dr appointments

Mark had his first dr appointment on Friday. He gained 5 ounces since we left the hospital on Monday. Great start, but i need to get him back to his birth weight by Friday for his follow up appointment. That definitely won't be difficult since he's eating almost double what he was when we left the hospital. Other than that the dr says he's perfect!



I went to a dr appointment today. I had my staples removed. It was also said that I will be feeling this way for about 3-4 weeks unless I have a blood transfusion. I'm going to wait it out and see how I feel next week. :)

Mark James made his appearance Friday, May 2nd at 8:31 a.m. weighing in at 8 lbs and 2 oz. He took in a bit of fluid on his way out and spent most of the day in the nursery while Mommy spent her time in triage. I finally got to hold Mark around 4:00 p.m. the same day. After a rough start, he is very healthy and just a wonderful baby. We were sent home on Monday.

I've had a bit of a rough week. I'm able to stay up for a few hours at a time until I feel pretty lightheaded. I'm taking lots of iron and I have a dr appointment on Monday. Hopefully I will feel better soon :) Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I know they are coming through! Everyday is a little better. Mom and Dad have been so wonderful. I couldn't ask for better parents. They have helped take care of this little guy and Lily the whole week. It's been a great help!

It's almost time for me to feed him again, but I wanted to post a picture from the hospital.
