**Lily's Recitals**

Piano Recital will be on May 29th @ 7:00 p.m.
Dance Recital will be on June 13th @ 10:00 a.m. (will confirm)

I can't WAIT for the summer to start! I can't even tell you how excited I am to not have Dance and GirlScouts every week. Mommy is a little exhausted :) I'm ready for a break!

I updated the calendar also!

Too Cool for School...

Mmm, I love spaghetti!

Lily's Masterpiece

Lily did some baking. We haven't put together the butterfly yet but it is baked! Can you guess what it is? :)

It's been too long!

Shameful really! I'm sorry to keep you waiting...things have been super busy for us. I will have to take some pictures of our recent purchases :)

Jim is now on step 36 of 53 of the swingset. He is doing a great job!

I am trying to attach an image, but it's not working. I will try again tomorrow! Stay tuned...

2 weeks and counting...

Mark will be turning 1!

We will be having a party at the house for him with a few close friends and family. This is what we decided to get him for his birthday:

Really it will be for both kids, but how fun is that?! They will love it and it will be great for them to have something to play with outside. Finally another reason to go into the backyard! :)

Good Friday Tornadoes

The National Weather Service is currently rating the tornado that devastated portions of Murfreesboro Friday a category EF3, with windings ranging from 136 to 165 miles per hour.Preliminary results from an aerial survey show that the path of the tornado was 15 miles. The maximum width of the tornado was half a mile.

(taken from the Murfreesboro Post)

If you are able to make the picture a little bigger, we are located in the Barfield area. Lucky for us, we weren't in its path. Jim, Lily, Mark and I weren't in Murfreesboro when it happened. Good Friday had the kids out of school and Jim and I were at work. This was a very bad storm that left our town devastated.

Good Friday

Easter is a great holiday. No matter what your religion or lack there of, we're able to come together and celebrate at a good ole Easter Egg Hunt. Tomorrow Mark and I will be going to another egg hunt. Lily will be at Carl's, so honestly this egg hunt will be mostly for me. :)

Today is Good Friday and usually I would be celebrating today by fasting and service. Since I gave up skipping meals for lent, I won't be fasting and since I'm at work today I can't do any sort of service. My mind is still in the right place. I'm still thankful for everything I have. No matter how bad some days are, today is the day to just forget about anything negative and just focus on what you do have.

Below is a picture from Lily's first Easter and Mark's first egg hunt :) I'll get some Easter pictures posted soon!

Love & Happy Easter wishes to All!

My beautiful Lily

NEVER takes a good school picture. I'm not exactly sure what she does, but somehow she ends up looking like a bum in every one of them. Her hair is messy, her jacket is either half way on or open and sloppy looking, she's slouching and to top it off she has the Worst smile. I finally got a decent school picture sent home on Wednesday! Yay! She has chapped lips so my wonderful friend is going to photoshop the large ring of red where she licked prefusely.

So here is my Lily's very first halfway decent school picture!
(btw: I shot this with my camera phone, so it may be blurry)

Lily at the zoo...

Lily enjoyed the zoo with Cindy & Dave on Sunday morning.

The Best Present!

Cindy made this to fit on the window over my front door. Isn't it so pretty?

I love it!!!

Weekend!

I had a great weekend!!! Friday I finally went to the dr and found out I had bronchitis, so I got some good meds and I was feeling a lot better by Saturday. I forgot my camera today, but luckily Reno & Cindy sent me great pictures to show you all!

Lily and Mark had a great time with their grandparents at an Easter Egg hunt in town. We had lots of fun and Mark actually got the hang of it after a while.

We actually went on two egg hunts and stopped at IHOP in between

Then they went to the park afterwards...
