How did this week pass by so quickly again???

We had such a great weekend and I didn't even get to post about it. We went over to Grandma Reno & Big Daddy Jim's house on Sunday for dinner. Lily was able to spend the weekend with them and had a great time. This week has been such a blur. Mark had a fever on Tuesday morning, so i took off and took him to the dr. He was just fine. Not only was he fine, but he weighed a whopping 13.4 pounds! I think Lily weighed this at about 10 months old. I shouldn't even compare the two of them because he's perfectly normal for a boy :) I had to post this picture because of how HUGE-mongous his head looks in this hat. Hahaha, I love it! Jim and I couldn't stop laughing when we put it on his head for the first time. Obviously you can tell he loves it too :)

Mark's first meal

Dr gave the ok for Mark to start rice cereal. Here is a small video of him chowing down. He loved it!

What i'm grateful for...

Someone asked me today how I can be so calm and collected about the comedy of errors with my paycheck, the absense of my promised bonus & the duties that were never explained to me on the front end and honestly I am just grateful for the things i have in my life and realize that life is too short to worry with the small things. Unfortunately a paycheck is a huge deal, but what is getting upset going to do about it? It's not going to change the outcome. My worry won't affect the outcome, so why get the ulcer... You just have to make lemonade.

These are my babies and they are happy and healthy. I can't ask for more than that!

And another one gone...

Second one lost at the Y on Monday afternoon. We need to open Lily a bank account for all of this tooth fairy money she's getting!

Someone lost another tooth!

As we drove back from dinner with grandma and grandpa, Lily lost one of her front teeth. She had a little motivation when i told her she could get ice cream if she pushed it out. It was hanging on by a thread.

Mark is on the verge of cooing and laughing out loud. You can see how hard he tries to do both, but it just won't come out verbally :)

Manic Monday

Today has been a pretty eventful day. Lily woke up with a fever. I think it was from being out in the heat too long on Saturday. She woke up Sunday morning and drank a lot of juice and water. Her tummy was pretty upset and her head was hurting. Since summer camp is mainly outside, I had to keep her at home today. I took Mark to the daycare for a few hours so I could do some work from home. He was SO happy when i went back to pick him up. He was smiling so big!

Lily is feeling a little better. Her head is still hot, but she's bouncing around like nothing is wrong.

Saturday & Sunday

We had such a busy weekend..i know i'm a slacker :)
On Saturday, Mark, Lily and I went to the Wave Country with our friends. It was very hot, but we had a great time. By the time we got home both kids were exhausted!

On Sunday, we spent all day with daddy inside the house. It was such a great weekend!

Mommy tired

This is my third day back to work and mommy is very tired. I think Mark got up about 3 times last night starting at 1:30 a.m. I went to Starbucks and had a double shot in my coffee, then came to work and had two more cups of coffee. My next stop is a red bull. I think the biggest transition, other than leaving Mark at the daycare, is the fact that i have to get up, put a suit on and get my two kids ready and going off to manage an office with only 3 hours of sleep...instead of just being able to lounge at home on 3 hours of sleep. Good thing he is just so darn cute! :)

Night night

I had my very first half day at work, which lasted 8 hours. My day was extremely busy I didn't even get a chance to call the daycare center and check on Mark. As you can see by this picture taken just 5 minutes ago, he survived :)
Lily has decided she would like to play baseball again, but I missed the signups tonight. I think fall ball only lasts a month, so it may be a good refresher course to see if she's ready for the long haul in the spring. Last time she played baseball, the dirt seemed to be the highlight of the game.
It is now 10:00 p.m. so i shall log off and see if I can get a couple of hours before he gets up for his next feeding.

*Sniff Sniff*

I just dropped off both kids at their daycare. Lily went to summer camp at the Y and Mark went to daycare by the house. I sat with him for a while and while i'm not technically working today I wanted to see how he would do for about an hour there. I don't have to start full time until tomorrow. I'll go back in the next couple of hours and see how he did and talk to his teachers some more. It will be a lot easier to get this house clean and go shopping without him. He doesn't have as much fun as I do trying on clothes :)

Another one for Saturday...

Lily is a sweet big sister.

Tara's birthday celebration

Today we went over to Dave & Cindy's and celebrated Tara's birthday. We had a yummy dinner and cake & ice cream...and let's not forget the bubbles. Fun times as always!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun 4th. Mark and I spent the morning together until Daddy got off work. Then we were off to Grandma Judy's for a bbq. Its about 10:00 and we just got home. It was a fun time. We made it home for the neighborhood fireworks though :) This is the first 4th Lily wasn't with us, but she is having fun too.

Here is a picture of Jim grilling our hamburgers.

Mark was a really good boy tonight. He tried really hard not to fall asleep. Too much excitement going on! I think here he's wondering why i put him in the playpen awake. :)

From us to you, we wish you a very happy and safe 4th of July!

Happy 2 months old!

We went to the dr today. Mark is 12 pounds exactly and 22 1/2 inches long. He's only in the 60th percentile for weight and the 40th for height. He got 3 shots altogether and was really good about it. He calmed down right away.

I haven't been getting much sleep. Mark eats a lot, so i'm up just about every 2 hours. I think today I may get a pedicure if Mark is feeling better. :)

I'm so lucky to have the best babies. Besides eating a lot and having gassy pains, Mark is the happiest baby. He loves being out and will only cry if he needs something.

Thank you for continuing the check my blog. I had 100 views in the last few weeks. I'm so glad you are enjoying it!

Love you all!

Tuesday fun

Today we spent all day with Judy and Meme. We had a great day! Tomorrow is Mark's 2 month dr appointment. He's going to be getting shots and everything. Sniff Sniff

I tried to post a video last night, but it took so long I had to quit. I will try and get it posted soon. :)
