Is it October already?

I know I know....you've been checking just about everyday and disappointment sets in as you realize it's gone yet another day/month since I've posted. I'm sorry! Instead of telling you how much better I'm going to be, I'm just going to say I'll post when I can and maybe this will turn into the regular basis it once was. ....Here's hoping!

Updates:  Jim had a birthday. Happy Birthday, honey! Lily had fall break. Jim & I just volunteered for the first weekend of Halloween at the zoo & I should be done traveling for work for the rest of the year.

Right now i'm working on the Halloween card, so look for that in the mail soon!

Until then, here are some pictures from the last month :)

Monday Musings

We've had some great weekends since my last post! We went to the zoo both weekends and we got to see grandparents both weekends. Fun times!

Happy Sunday!

It's 7:28 a.m. on Sunday morning and I've finished painting the kitchen. I attempted to paint it yesterday, but with children, animals & birthday parties, it became near impossible, so I decided to just finish a couple of walls to make sure Jim agreed on the color....even tho the color I chose is a shade of white. So instead I got out of bed at 5 this morning and finished just before the first child pattered down the stairs. I painted, then mopped the floor to get the trim nice and clean before I get that painted. I don't think there's much to be done there, just a few touch ups. I will also get it decorated with a few pictures and I will be done!  By the end of today, I can proudly say that my first room will be completely done.

Pardon the mess on the island, but here is a shot of my painted kitchen. White is pretty boring, but it's clean with a satin finish to help with those little finger prints.

My realtor went over to the old house yesterday and took pictures. The rain & gloom kept him from taking the pictures prior. Other than occasionally sweeping & airing out the home, I should be completely finished with it and able to focus on my new house. I am still convinced this was the best decision for us. I probably could have gotten the house sold (eventually) with us living there, but our old home looks SO much bigger now that all of our stuff is out of it. People have already asked to look at it before it was on the market, so cross your fingers for a quick sell!

So far our weekend has been great. Mark, Ella & I had a great afternoon together until the sleepy meltdown happened at O'Charley's. Can't blame them, honestly, I should have known what I was getting myself into. Lily had a birthday party to attend for one of her new best friends, so I got her dropped off and the tots and I  went to Chuck E Cheese's and took a walk. Today, I'm going to get dressed and the kids and I may take a walk before church. We've been up a while and it's such a beautiful morning.

Work has been extremely busy which hasn't allowed me personal time on the computer. I hardly even take a lunch. The upside is that when we're busy, that means business is good!  Have I told all of you how much I love my job? I am so lucky to have the job I have. I may get frustrated and overwhelmed, but I will never take it for granted. It will be 11 years in a few months and look how far I've gone & can continue to go. Jim's job is going well & the kids are still doing really well at their new school. Any transition is a little rough on everyone, but kids are so resilient. I need to remember that.

With that, I will leave you with a few pictures. I keep forgetting not everyone is on facebook (like I should even talk...i occasionally post things, but hardly ever check things out) and instagram, so I will try to remember to post pictures here as well. Blogger isn't up to speed on that mobile blog, so I can't post from my phone just yet.

I hope everyone has a very Happy Sunday and until next time...be well!

Cheers!

What I woke up to find this morning...

Wilson County Fair

We had a great time at the Wilson County Fair last night. The kids were worn out...as well as the parents! Lots of rides, carnival food & petting the animals. Here are a few photos from our fun evening.

Our 4th of July

I thought for sure I posted the 4th of July pictures and videos on the blog, but I can't seem to find them on here. I am uploading them right now to my picassa web album and I'm including two videos of Aunt Jill putting ice down E's shirt. Funny stuff :)

Pictures can be found here...pardon the blurry ones, I'm a bit tired :)

Has it been a month already?

Wow - what a whirlwind of a month! To answer many of your questions - No, i have not unpacked everything - no, i am not completely moved out of the other house &No, it's not on the market yet. I can tell you that we are closER than we were even a week ago. It is a lot of work moving out a family of six with belongings of a family of 18. I may have said this before, but I can confidentially say - I am never moving again! What an ordeal! And I'm still not done! Ok enough of that negativity. I can positively say that I love this house. It is perfect in so many ways that it keeps my stress at bay. Having this much room has made this move so worth it. I love it I love it I love it. This can and hopefully will be my forever house. Lily even made a friend within walking distance!  WALKING DISTANCE and not through the street, through the grass in our backyard. How awesome is that?!

So - for those I haven't spoken to in this month, I am terribly sorry. I have been so busy working and being a mom and a wife and cleaning and moving that this month has past by quicker than the Flash. I will do my best to be on the computer more than once a week.

In that I leave with you a few pictures and videos I took this month.

Enjoy my crazy kids!
