Rehearsal Night

Wedding weekends usually are 3 day events and this was no different. Rehearsal night came and as Matrons of Honor, Aly and I were very busy making sure everything was where it was supposed to be. It went very smoothly. Dinner followed at an amazing restaurant. It was such a great evening.

Bridal Shower

Bridal Shower Thursday - We painted wine glasses! So much fun! I highly recommend it. Great food, great friends, great time! Locally owned shop in Murfreesboro, "Let's Make Wine" gave us the opportunity to host a closed party and it was a lot of fun.

Bombers

We had a great week last week. Played 3 games and won all 3. These girls are awesome and I'm so proud at how well they are doing. Our season is almost over. Bittersweet, but at least spring isn't too far away.

Update

I have been sick for just about two weeks, but I think I am finally on the mend. I had pneumonia and now pleurisy. My asthma has really kicked into full swing, but I haven't been on oxygen for 24 hours. Yay!

Thank you for all of the get well wishes, cards, flowers and love everyone has sent to me. I know it has helped thru this time.

Jim has been by my side the whole time. I couldn't ask for a better husband. I know Everyone has been worrying so this post is just to make sure everyone knows that I am still alive and doing ok.

It was a really busy August with ball games and baby showers and September is no different. Ball games and weddings and Grandma is coming to visit! We are so excited!!

This weekend

What a great weekend so far!

Mark had ball practice yesterday. Jim is coaching his team for the fall. It will be an interesting season since I think the only kid who has played before is Mark. It will be good practice if nothing else. After practice, lily practiced pitching in the backyard for a while then we were off to a sounds game. AAA team for the Milwaukee Brewers. It was a lot of fun!

Today is church and practice for Lily. We heard from her coach yesterday so and learned that she was accepted on a team. This should be a fun and busy fall!

Busy weekend!

We had 2 birthday parties and 2 different friends came from out of town and I was able to spend some time with them. It was a great time!

 Picture below are my kids and Lindsey's kids...Madison who Lily basically grew up with is on the end by Lily. So great to see them!

Then this is a video of Ella skating on real roller skates at Ashlyn's party. She's amazing. Mark made it around once, but gave up pretty quickly and needed my assistance. Ella didn't even want my help to get up. 

It was a great weekend! I'm so glad to see my friends, especially ones I haven't seen in a few months.

Great trip!

Our Holiday World trip was so much fun! Grandma Judy & Aunt Jill joined us for our two day venture to Santa Claus, Indiana. We went the camping route and rented a trailer. It was exhausting but we still managed to close the park down on Thursday. It was such a great time and we can't wait for our next trip!

Holiday World

Just shy of 5 hours left in the first day at holiday world. So much fun has been had!

July has been one busy month!

I apologize I've been so terrible - once again - posting to the board. I've tried to get better about facebook because I know a lot of followers are on there, but haven't taken into account that some may not have a facebook account. This month has been really busy, but I will do my best to recap.

Lily was away for most of the month of July. She spent the first weekend with Dave & Cindy camping and had a great time! Camila left for Brazil that following Tuesday. We miss her so much already! Then Lily left for two weeks to Carl's. She's back now and we are so excited for our upcoming trip to Holiday World! I will post later on that.

Ella had a 2 week dance camp and she absolutely loved it! She can't wait to start again! She's her normal bossy self, but she learns the moves and pays attention.

Before Lily left me for almost the entire month of July, I took her to see one of my favorite musicals of ALL time - Into the Woods. It was a fun time!

The day before the 4th of July, I rescued a 3 week old baby kitten that lost its mother shortly before. He was in the bushes in the back lot at my work. He staggered out into the wide lot and I didn't have the heart to leave it. So I took it home and we've been bottle feeding this little guy. He's finally eating semi-solid food and using the litter box. Now its time to decide if we keep him or find a home for him. We haven't named him, but the kids are attached.

A week and a half ago, Jim and Mark got into an accident that totaled Jim's truck. Thank god they are both doing fine! Mark was the only one to sustain any type of injury and he has fully recovered since. We are so grateful! The next week he asked me if we could go walk the pups at PAWS. I have taken Lily to this non-kill shelter to walk the dogs or give them a bath.

We are in the last week of July and tomorrow we are taking off for Santa Claus, Indiana for some Holiday World fun! I hope to post while i'm out and about, but you know how that goes with my empty promises haha I will try though!
